Do you ever get scared of going to the gym because of how others may perceive you?

I remember when I did. I used to be scrawny and thus self-conscious.

Funny enough my brother is going through a similar experience and he keeps asking for my advice.

This insecurity goes away when you numb that part of your brain. But, for many people, it’s a big issue.

It can even be the sole inhibitor that prevents a person from walking into a gym.

I had this conversation with my coach the other day:

Comfort is the #1 thing a person must feel when walking into the gym. It should feel like a homey environment where you can relax and relieve stress and anxiety through physical activity.

If you fear judgment from others, coach Jenna Rizzo recommends 4 things to overcome it.

[Disclaimer: this article was inspired by this one from the New York POST]

1- Pick the day and time when few people are around
